PostSubject: Laptop Guide   Tue Jun 23, 2009 9:02 am

Thinking of buying a laptop in the coming months, My desktop is starting to slow a bit and I like the ability to do work while laying in bed.

Im considering a Mac for no good reason other than I am brainwashed. I have never owned one before though.

On the PC side of things, I would wait for Windows 7 and looking to get one thats above average but not the peak of the market.

Any recommendations or sites that make it easy. Thanks

its on my list of many things.

I'll never buy a Dell again though. My hard drive died 3 times during college, my sisters just died, my moms battery is shot only after a year and a half, I could go on and on about Dell.

I was thinking Mac but the price is just to much. I will prolly opt to what you get Bri.

This is true, I don't know what problems people have with Vista. I am actually on a Vista laptop right now and it works fine.

People whine about the leader all the time. Mac this Mac that, MAC on these.

I get sick of hearing about it. Pc's make up 90% of the landscape and there is a reason for that. Im going to be doing some research and will let people know my verdict.

i dont really like macs, personally. they are great in a lot of things, but they're not great for a lot of things. it depends on what you're going to be using them for.

mac's tend to be great for video editing and music editing.

but personally, i dont really do too much of that, and the small amounts of it i do i can do on my windows based computer. i am just not a fan of the interface of a mac. prior to this year, i never even really used mac's until i found out that all the computers at my job are macs. after using them even for simple web browsing and whatnot, i am not a big fan. people say they never freeze, nothing ever goes wrong with them, and stuff like that, and man these macs locked up a lot. and they were actual good macs too.

windows has done nothing bad enough to me personally to make me think about going for another operating system
